See which companies visit your website
Orbit names the businesses behind your visits and the company behind every lead, so you know who is interested before they get in touch.
How Companies works
Three ways to put a name to a visit, each one certain.
1. Their network
Visits from business networks, named.
When someone visits from a company’s own network, Orbit names the company behind it. Visits from home, mobile and shared networks stay unnamed rather than guessed.
- Business networks
- Certain names only
- No guessing
2. Their visits
What each company read, visit by visit.
Open a company to see every visit and the pages it read. On Zenith, a company that keeps coming back without getting in touch lands on your Signals board.
- Every visit
- Pages read
- Signals on Zenith
3. Their leads
Every lead with its company.
When a form asks for a work email or a website, the company comes with the lead, taken from the company’s domain. Free email addresses are left out.
- From the form
- Company domain
- Lead value
4. Your corrections
You have the last word.
Name a network you recognise, mark your own team so it is never listed as a company, or say a network isn’t a company at all. Your correction always wins.
- Name it
- This is us
- Not a company
The best leads read your site for weeks before they get in touch. Orbit shows you which companies they work for.

Why see which companies visit
Most visitors never fill in a form. Many of them are businesses you’d like to hear from.
The visits before the call
A company choosing a supplier reads your services, your cases and your prices, often over several visits, before anyone gets in touch. Companies shows those visits by company, so your team knows who is interested while it still matters.
Certain, or not at all
Orbit only names a company when it knows: the visit came from that company’s own network, its form carried the company’s work email or website, or your team said so. Everything else stays unnamed. There is no “likely” list to second-guess.
Private by design
The visitor’s address is looked up inside Orbit and dropped right after. From a form, Companies takes only the domain of a work email, never the rest of it.
Part of Analytics
Companies is a view in Orbit’s website analytics, beside sources, pages, leads and journeys. Orbit is the website growth platform for agencies.

Questions about Companies
Three ways, each certain: the visit came from a network the company owns, the company filled in a form with its work email or website, or your team named it. If none of those applies, the visit stays unnamed.
Most people browse from home, from a phone or from a shared office, and those networks don’t belong to one company. Orbit leaves them unnamed instead of guessing, because a wrong name is worse than none.
No. The lookup runs inside Orbit, against a company register kept on Orbit’s own servers, and the visitor’s address is dropped right after.
No. Gmail, Outlook and other free addresses are left out, so a lead only carries a company taken from that company’s own domain.
Ascend and Zenith, as part of Analytics. On Zenith, companies that keep coming back also show up on your Signals board.
