The best SEO software for agencies, ranked

Ten SEO software options for agencies, judged on what running many client sites takes: the price per client site, what clients can see, white label and proof of results. Each price links to its source.

By Leon Missoul · Facts checked on 6 Oct 2026, from each vendor’s own pages

  • The best SEO software for agencies depends on four things: what it costs per client site, what clients can see, whether it carries your brand, and whether it proves results.
  • Orbit is priced per client site and measures each finished task; Semrush and Ahrefs hold the deepest research data, priced per seat.
  • For white label at a lower price, SE Ranking’s Agency Pack and AgencyAnalytics put your brand on the platform and the reports.
  • Most agencies keep one research suite and one tool for the client work itself.

How we ranked them

Ranked for one job: running many client sites, improving them every month and proving it. Orbit is our own product, judged on the same terms as the rest; for research data on sites you don’t run, or a fully branded portal, the order changes, and each entry says where it is the better pick.

What agencies need from SEO software

Most lists of SEO tools rank them by data. An agency has four more questions to answer every month. What will this cost when we add the next ten clients? What can each client see? Does it carry our brand or the vendor’s? And can we show a client what the work earned?

ToolHow it is pricedTen client sites
OrbitOne agency plan, then per client siteThe agency plan plus ten site plans; Launchpad free
AgencyAnalyticsPer client, billed yearly$200, plus rank tracking
SE RankingPer plan, Agency Pack extra$198 (Core with 10 projects, plus the Agency Pack)

AhrefsPer user$249 (Standard with 20 projects, one user)
Search AtlasPer planFrom $999 for client portals (Agency)
What ten client sites cost a month, on the published prices

The prices buy different things. The research suites give data on any site; AgencyAnalytics gives branded dashboards; Orbit on Zenith includes the drafted pages, the publishing and the measured results. Compare on the job you need done.

White label SEO software

White label means the client sees your brand, not the vendor’s. SE Ranking’s Agency Pack brands the platform and the reports. AgencyAnalytics puts your logo, colors and domain on its client portal and every report. Search Atlas offers white-label dashboards from Pro and client portals on Agency, and Moz Pro, SpyFu and Serpstat brand their reports on the upper plans.

Orbit takes a different route. Clients are invited into their own site as guests: they see the same numbers your team sees and can ask Orbit about them, never your other clients or your prices, and guests are never billed. What they see is the work and what it earned. If a fully branded portal for requests and files matters too, Orbit sits well beside one; see Orbit and client portals and Orbit vs AgencyAnalytics.

The client as a guest on their own site

Best SEO tools for agencies: one suite, one tool for the work

Most agencies keep one research suite for data on sites they don’t run, Semrush or Ahrefs, and one tool for the client work itself. Semrush vs Ahrefs compares the two suites, and Semrush alternatives covers the cheaper ones.

For the client work, Orbit connects to every client site, finds the work worth doing in its own data, does it with your team, and measures what each finished task earned. Ask Orbit and MCP read every client site at once, so you can ask which one needs you this week.

How we checked

Every fact about SE Ranking, AgencyAnalytics, Semrush, Ahrefs, Search Atlas, Moz Pro, SpyFu, Serpstat and Screaming Frog comes from the vendor’s own website, read on 6 Oct 2026: its pricing page where it publishes one, otherwise its help pages and announcements. Each price links to the page it came from, in US dollars as the vendor states them.

Orbit is our own product, and the page says so wherever it appears. Its prices come from our pricing page. Prices change; if you spot one that has, tell us and we correct the page.

Questions about SEO tools for agencies

You pay monthly for the sites that run, with nothing to pre-buy. Each site is billed from the day you add it until the day you remove it, prorated. Launchpad sites, which watch a site’s visitors and search, are free.

Never. Add as many teammates and client guests as you like; only the sites that run are billed.

Most agencies use a research suite such as Semrush, Ahrefs or SE Ranking for keyword and link data, a reporting tool such as AgencyAnalytics for client dashboards, and a crawler such as Screaming Frog for deep audits. Orbit covers the monthly work on each client site: finding it, doing it with your team and proving what it earned.

White label SEO software lets an agency show a tool under its own brand: its logo, colors and often its own web address on reports and client logins. SE Ranking, AgencyAnalytics and Search Atlas offer it on their agency plans. It changes what the client sees, not what the tool does.

Free options cover parts of the job. Google Search Console is free, Screaming Frog crawls up to 500 URLs at no cost, and Ahrefs has a free account for sites you own. In Orbit, Launchpad is free on every client site under the agency plan, with analytics and Search Console history kept past Google’s 16 months.

Research suites cost $129 to $549 a month for one user, plus $40 to $100 for each extra user. Reporting tools are often priced per client, like AgencyAnalytics at $20 a client a month billed yearly. Orbit charges one plan for the agency and one for each client site, with Launchpad free; every price is on its pricing page.

A small agency gets furthest with one affordable suite and one tool for the client work. SE Ranking, Moz Pro and Serpstat keep research costs low. Orbit’s Agency plan includes Launchpad free on every client site, and you move a site to Ascend or Zenith when the client pays for more.

Yes. Invite them into their site as a guest. They see that site and nothing else, can ask Orbit about it, and are never billed.

Yes. Every client site’s search clicks, impressions and positions sit side by side in Orbit’s agency hub, and you can ask about all of them at once.
