In short
- For agencies with many client sites, Orbit tracks AI answers weekly for every site, next to the visitors and leads AI sends, and turns gaps into work.
- For one large brand checked daily on many engines, Peec AI and Profound go deepest.
- Otterly.AI is the cheapest way to start: $29 a month for 15 prompts.
- Answers change from run to run, so judge any tool by the trend over weeks, never by one result.
How we ranked them
Ranked for one job: showing clients whether AI assistants recommend them, and improving it, across many client sites. Orbit is our own product, judged on the same criteria as the rest; for one large brand checked daily on every engine, the order changes, and each entry says where it is the better pick.
- 01
The engines buyers use
ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode first; more engines count as a bonus.
- 02
Answers as a person sees them
Read from the real interface, not a developer API, which can answer differently.
- 03
Beyond mentions
The visitors and leads AI sends, so a mention can be tied to business.
- 04
Built for a client list
Workspaces, pricing and reports that work across many sites.
- 05
From gap to work
A missing mention should lead to a page to write, not only a chart.
- 06
Prices you can check
Published prices, read on the vendor’s own page.

Why AI visibility tools disagree
Ask an assistant the same question twice and it may name different businesses. SparkToro and Gumshoe ran 2,961 tests and found less than a 1-in-100 chance of getting the same list twice; how often a brand appears held steadier than where it appears. So judge any tool by the trend over weeks.
Check too how a tool reads the answers. Some ask a developer API, which can answer differently from the app people use; others read the real interface. Orbit reads ChatGPT and Gemini the way a person sees them.
AI answers or AI traffic?
They are two questions: whether assistants name a site, and how many people they send to it. Most trackers answer the first, and some connect Google Analytics for the second. Orbit measures both on the client’s own site, with the visitors and leads AI sends, which is what a client wants to see. How AI visibility works in Orbit.
How we checked
Every fact about Peec AI, Profound, Otterly AI, Scrunch AI, Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit, Ahrefs Brand Radar, SE Visible, Rankscale and AthenaHQ comes from the vendor’s own website, read on 6 Oct 2026: its pricing page where it publishes one, otherwise its help pages and announcements. Each price links to the page it came from, in US dollars as the vendor states them.
Orbit is our own product, and the page says so wherever it appears. Its prices come from our pricing page. Prices change; if you spot one that has, tell us and we correct the page.
