In short
- Semrush pricing starts at $139.95 a month for the SEO plan and runs to $549 for Advanced, each for one user; there is a free plan, a 7-day trial, and up to 17% off for paying yearly.
- The number of client websites picks the plan: Starter ($199) monitors 5, Pro+ ($299) 15 and Advanced ($549) 40, each with AI search tracking built in.
- What an agency really pays depends on seats and reports: a team of three on 25 client sites pays $1,249 a month on Advanced, with two extra users and a white-label report per client.
- The catch is everything billed on top: $45 to $100 a month per extra login, $20 per white-label report, and $99 a month for each extra domain in AI tracking.

What an agency pays
3 client sites, one person
Semrush: $259 a month
Starter monitors up to 5 websites for one user: $199. A white-label report for each client adds 3 × $20 = $60. Starter tracks AI brand performance for one domain; each other client domain is $99 a month more.
10 client sites, a team of two
Semrush: $579 a month
Ten sites need Pro+, which monitors 15: $299. One extra user is $80, and a white-label report per client is 10 × $20 = $200. Billed yearly, the plan itself drops to $248.17 a month.
25 client sites, a team of three
Semrush: $1,249 a month
Twenty-five sites need Advanced, which monitors 40: $549. Two extra users are 2 × $100 = $200, and a white-label report per client is 25 × $20 = $500. Content, local or ads toolkits come on top.
Is Semrush worth it?
Semrush is worth its price when research on sites you don’t run is a big part of what you sell; for an agency the bill grows with every login, report and toolkit, so price it by team and client count.
Worth it if
- You research sites you don’t run. Competitors’ and prospects’ keywords, links and top pages, from 28.8 billion keywords and 43 trillion backlinks.
- You sell more than SEO. Ads, local, social and PR come as toolkits in the same account.
- You need daily rankings. Every paid plan updates 500 to 5,000 tracked keywords each day.
Look elsewhere if
- Your team grows faster than your budget. Each extra login costs $45 to $100 a month on top of the plan.
- You want AI answers tracked for every client. Starter covers one domain for AI brand performance; each more is $99 a month.
- Your job is the work on each client site. Semrush shows what to fix; drafting it, publishing it and showing what it earned stays with your team.
Where Orbit fits
Semrush is the research desk: data on any site, across the whole market. If you run websites for clients, the monthly job is a different one: deciding what to do on each site, doing it, and showing the client what it earned. Orbit is built for that job, priced per client site instead of per login.
Every client site in one view
Priced per site, with no charge for colleagues or client guests.
AI answers for every client
Up to 15 buyer questions a week per site on ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews and AI Mode, from Ascend.
A monthly report per client
Written from each site’s own numbers, for your team to check and send.
The work done and measured
On Zenith, drafts in the client’s voice, published once someone approves, each result measured.
Semrush plans today: Semrush One and SEO Classic
Semrush has two families of plans, and many pricing pages mix them up. The classic SEO Toolkit has three tiers, Pro, Guru and Business, for SEO alone. In October 2025 Semrush launched Semrush One, which bundles the SEO Toolkit with its AI Visibility Toolkit in three plans: Starter, Pro+ and Advanced. Each Semrush One plan carries the SEO limits of one classic tier and adds AI search tracking on top.
| SEO limits | Classic tier | Semrush One plan | What the difference buys |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 websites, 500 keywords | Pro, listed as SEO: $139.95 | Starter: $199 | 50 AI prompts tracked daily, AI brand performance for 1 domain, MCP access |
| 15 websites, 1,500 keywords | Guru: $249.95 | Pro+: $299 | 100 AI prompts tracked daily, MCP access |
| 40 websites, 5,000 keywords | Business: $499.95 | Advanced: $549 | 200 AI prompts tracked daily, MCP access |
Semrush’s pricing page now shows the SEO plan, at the classic Pro’s price and limits, beside Starter, Pro+ and Advanced. Guru and Business no longer appear there, though the help center still lists them at $249.95 and $499.95 a month. For an agency the gap is small: Pro+ costs $49.05 more than Guru for the same 15 websites and adds 100 AI prompts tracked daily, and Advanced does the same against Business.
Above Advanced sits Semrush Enterprise, priced on request: unlimited projects and custom limits, large-scale AI prompt tracking, single sign-on with audit logs, and a dedicated account manager.
Semrush pricing per month and per year
Every plan can be paid monthly or yearly. Billed yearly, it costs up to 17% less.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly, per month | A year, billed yearly | Saved a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SEO | $139.95 | $117.33 | $1,407.96 | $271.44 |
| Starter | $199 | $165.17 | $1,982.04 | $405.96 |
| Pro+ | $299 | $248.17 | $2,978.04 | $609.96 |
| Advanced | $549 | $455.67 | $5,468.04 | $1,119.96 |
Yearly billing is also the only kind Semrush refunds. Its 7-day money-back guarantee covers a first purchase on a 12-month term and a first add-on purchase; month-to-month plans are not refunded.
Semrush free trial, free plan and refunds
- Free trial: 7 days of full access, once per person. A card is needed to start it; Semrush checks it with a $1 hold that is not charged.
- Which plans: the pricing page offers the trial on SEO, Starter and Pro+. Advanced shows Subscribe instead, and the AI Visibility Toolkit on its own has no trial.
- Toolkits: Content, Social, Advertising, AI PR and Traffic & Market each have a 7-day trial; the Lead Generation add-on has 14 days.
- Free plan: 1 demo project and 10 reports a day across the main tools, with no card needed.
- Refunds: ask within 7 days, on a first yearly purchase or a first add-on.
Semrush agency pricing: there is no agency plan
Semrush has no plan priced for agencies. It describes Starter, Pro+ and Advanced as the plans for agencies, and the choice between them comes down to how many client websites you monitor: 5, 15 or 40. On top come a login for each colleague and a report for each client.
For a fair total, add three things: the plan that covers your client count, $45 to $100 a month for each colleague, and $20 a month for each white-label client report. The totals above do exactly that.
Orbit prices the other way round: per client site, with no charge for colleagues or client guests. From Ascend, every site gets AI visibility on ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews and AI Mode, and a monthly client report written from its own numbers.
How Semrush pricing changed
- October 2025: Semrush One launched, bundling SEO and AI visibility in Starter, Pro+ and Advanced, from $165 a month billed yearly.
- The Agency Growth Kit was retired: its Client Portal and CRM were discontinued, and white-label reports became $20 a report.
- April 2026: Adobe completed its purchase of Semrush, agreed in November 2025 at $12.00 a share, about $1.9 billion. Semrush told customers that services, agreements and billing would not change right away.
- Today: the pricing page shows SEO, Starter, Pro+ and Advanced; Guru and Business remain in the help center.
Semrush pricing beside Ahrefs and Orbit
Weighing suites? Semrush vs Ahrefs sets the two side by side; Ahrefs starts at $129 a month for one user. Orbit vs Semrush is our review of Semrush for agencies and where the monthly client work differs, and Semrush alternatives ranks nine options, with prices checked on each vendor’s site.
If the job is improving client sites every month, Orbit finds the work in each site’s own data, drafts it in the client’s voice, publishes it into their CMS once someone approves, and measures what it earned.
How we checked
Every fact about Semrush comes from the vendor’s own website, read on 6 Oct 2026: its pricing page where it publishes one, otherwise its help pages and announcements. Each price links to the page it came from, in US dollars as the vendor states them.
Orbit is our own product, and the page says so wherever it appears. Its prices come from our pricing page. Prices change; if you spot one that has, tell us and we correct the page.
